What to check before choosing a wireless system

• Check the frequency band available where you work and the number of simultaneous channels. Advertised range depends on the environment, antennas and RF coordination.
• Confirm that the transmitter and receiver support the same protocol or transmission mode and compatible bands. A shared brand or frequency alone does not ensure they work together.
• Check lavalier connectors and wiring, receiver outputs and recorder inputs. Review battery life, power options and whether the equipment fits a sound bag, camera or rack.
