The DCD2020 is a Dante/AES67 commentary unit for two commentators and one guest, with copper or fibre networking, full redundancy, a built-in Ethernet switch and configuration from either its lockable local LCD or a web browser. Its three digitally controlled microphone preamplifiers provide gain from 0 to +70 dB in 1 dB steps, an individually adjustable threshold limiter and switchable 48 V phantom power; a separately limited mixed output is also available. Commentators A and B each have four talkback keys and eight listen feeds, while the guest has two keys and four feeds, all selectable to the left ear, right ear or both. Each position accepts a five-pin XLR headset or a separate three-pin XLR microphone and TRS headphones. Six analogue inputs and eight analogue outputs can be assigned to network or local functions, including standalone analogue operation. Additional facilities include two 2:1 Dante mixers, 400 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz identification tones, dBFS metering, three GPI inputs and three GPI outputs. Power can be supplied by 110-240 V AC, PoE or 12 V DC, including combined use for redundancy.
