The SCHOEPS W 5 D is a large hollow-foam windshield for 20 mm axially addressed microphones. It is the larger, more effective version of the B 5 D and is recommended for stronger wind and for reducing movement noise when a microphone is used on a boom.

• Hollow interior encloses an air volume around the capsule, similarly to a basket windshield.
• Foam is mounted on a plastic carrier and does not touch the microphone, helping prevent motion noise.
